It Is so Dark Inside the Hive
In this osmatic auditorium, the human senses get connected with the world of insects. The work is based on investigations and experimentations with honeybees, their sounds, smells and ways of living. In the installation mainly wax as concentrated medium is used to trigger our oldest, most primal sense proposing an unusual multi-sensorial visit.
The installation is first presented at the Halikonlahti Green Art III Festival
, in Salo, Finland from September 10th until October 30th 2011
and then at the Embodied Values Conference, at Inspace Gallery in Edinborough, in Edinburgh, UK, December 7th to 9th 2011.
